Sam Raimi is plotting an alien invasion, and his collaborator will be Uruguayan filmmaker Fede Alvarez, who gained online fame with his low-low-budget short film entitled Panic Attack.

That little effort, a tale of a giant robot invasion of Earth, earned Alvarez a shot at pitching his alien attack idea to Raimi, says Variety.

Raimi's Ghost House Pictures will produce the movie, if Alvarez's pitch is successful. The Uruguayan will direct.
