Brandy has been sued by the parents of a woman who was killed in a road accident caused by Brandy.

The parents of Awatef Aboudihaj is suing the signer for US$50 million in a wrongful-death suit, filed at Los Angeles Superior Court.

This comes after the California Highway Patrol recommended Brandy be charged with vehicular manslaughter in the Dec 30 tragedy.

Brandy's Land Rover hit Aboudihaj's car, which then hit another vehicle. The second car crashed into the centre divider and was then hit by another car.

Aboudihaj died at a hospital from her injuries.
