Sir Elton John has been hit by the flu bug. Not just any flu bug, but something that has landed him in a London hospital for treatment. According to BBC, the singer is being treated for E-coli bacterial infection and influenza.

Due to the flu, he has postponed the Seattle and Portland Oregon dates on his current tour which will also star Billy Joel. A few other shows were postponed, such as the concerts in London, Liverpool, Sheffield and Newcastle.

Billy Joel himself suffered "flu-like symptoms" and "extreme fatigue" resulting in The American leg of tour to be put on hold. According to promoters, the Pacific Northwest gigs are to be rescheduled to December.
