Her latest single S.O.S. (Let The Music Play) might be on the top of the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart, but singer Jordin Sparks can't celebrate just yet.

The former American Idol singer is nursing herself back to health after undergoing an emergency surgery last week to remove her appendix.

On her Twitter.com page, Sparks writes, “I'm in a great mood except I can't laugh or cough! Ergh. Rest & movie time.”

Sparks had to scrap her Australian tour yesterday due to her illness. No word yet if she will reschedule her performance.
