Living in harmony
Look out for a new drama series on RTM 2 that aims to promote unity among Malaysians.
The title of the 26-episode Tamil series, Harmoni...Ka, does not merely refer to a musical instrument, but it has a special role to play in the story.

Harmoni...Ka, produced by Sabtham's Vision, is a bilingual production directed by Francis Silvan and Nagaraj.
Forty percent of the dialogue is in Bahasa Malaysia and the rest is in Tamil.
The cast is multi-racial, with over 40 actors who travelled to 55 different locations around the country for the shoot.
The story opens with friends Mansor, Lee Kim Chai and Maniam, preserving the virtues of true friendship in a newly independent Malaysia 50 years ago.
Mansor and Lee want to help Maniam who comes from a poor family. But soon, the guys have to go their separate ways. As a parting gift, Manssor gives Maniam a harmonica and teaches him to play his favourite tune.
Fast-forward to present time and meet Karthik, Rosyam and Ricky Lee who are buddies.
During a house warming ceremony in Karthik's house, his father Maniam, brings out his harmonica and plays his favourite tune. Rosyam gets excited and enquires about the origin of the tune.
Maniam brings out an old photograph of Mansor and reminisces the old days...
Harmoni...Ka will make its debut over RTM 2 at 6pm starting July 30. Subsequently, the series will air from Mondays to Wednesdays at 6pm.
