Glamorous evening at Quantum of Solace premiere
In conjunction with the theatrical release of the latest James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, Buena Vista Columbia TriStar Films Sdn Bhd, along with CIT (Corporate Information Travel) and Bacardi-Martini Malaysia, recently organised an evening filled with fine wining and dining, snazzy live music, alluring fashion shows and fabulous lucky draws.
Over 500 guests, including the top management of blue-chip companies, media powerhouses, socialites, fashionistas and celebrities converged at GSC Signature, The Gardens on October 31 for the event.
The evening started with an advance screening of Quantum of Solace, which featured the return of Daniel Craig as the world-famous secret agent James Bond.
After the screening, the guests made their way to the Journey With Bond party, held at GSC Signature’s lounge, with exquisite food and drinks served. Guests were also treated to energetic performances by specially trained dancers.
Former Miss Malaysia Deborah Henry at the Quantum of Solace premiere. Anna Ng, General Manager of Buena Vista Columbia TriStar Films Malaysia gave an opening address, and then invited Thaddeus Foo, Managing Director of CIT on stage to make his address. Following that, they were joined by Jimmy Goh, Marketing Director of Bacardi-Martini Malaysia to pop a bottle of Bollinger champagne for a toast to the guests.
A special question and answer session on Bond trivia was also held, with the winners receiving a variety of prizes, including the newly released Ultimate Bond DVD set. This was followed by a Bond Girl-inspired fashion showcase by Warehouse, featuring six models in numerous costumes, displaying the latest, stylish collection of the season.
Celebrities who came dressed to the nines were rewarded with prizes including hotel stay & spa, dining vouchers, gym memberships, branded accessories, and others. The Best Dressed winners included former Miss Malaysia Deborah Henry, celebrity DJ Serena C, actor Zizan Nin, fashion guru Alex Eu, socialites Lavin Siew and Christian New and Malaysia’s favourite newlyweds Erra Fazira and Tengku Emran.
The lucky draw segment as usual got the crowd excited with the amazing array of prizes, including air tickets to London from Emirates, Thai Airways International and CIT, Ashworth golf bags courtesy of Mastercard, Celcom rebate vouchers, Sony Ericsson C702 and C902 Titanium Bond Cyber Shot phones, and the new 40-inch Sony Bravia Full HD LCD TV.
The impressive limited edition 007 Bollinger Bullet, designed by famed French designer Eric Berthès was also on display. This collector’s item, worth RM25,000, is one of only 207 available worldwide.
Other partners who contributed towards the event included Heineken, Touch n Go, Avon, Celebrity Fitness, Media Max, Ford, Speedy and SonyBMG.
