Beatlemania Returns

The most famous quartet in musical history, the Beatles, will be re-releasing their entire back catalogue in digitally remastered form on September 9.
This follows an extensive re-mastering process that lasted four years. Each of the Liverpool-group's CDs are packaged with replicated original album art, including expanded booklets containing original and newly written liner notes and rare photos.
For a limited period, each CD will also be embedded with a brief documentary film about the album.
Relentlessly imaginative and experimental, the Beatles grabbed a hold of the international mass consciousness in 1964 and never let go for the next six years, always staying ahead of the pack in terms of creativity but never losing their ability to communicate their increasingly sophisticated ideas to a mass audience. Their supremacy as rock icons remains unchallenged to this day, decades after their breakup in 1970.
The albums have been re-mastered by a dedicated team of engineers at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios in London over a four year period utilising state-of-the-art recording technology alongside vintage studio equipment, carefully maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings.
The result of this painstaking process is the highest fidelity the catalogue has seen since its original release. The collection comprises all 12 Beatles albums in stereo, with track listings and artwork as originally released.
Warner Music Malaysia, the exclusive distributor for EMI in Malaysia, is celebrating the release of the albums with several events including one at Bar Sonic (Zouk KL) on October 2, 2009, hosted by TAG (Twilight Action Girl).
By invitation only, the Tribute To The Beatles night promises to be a night of fun, filled with The Beatles being played all-night long. Limited posters and t-shirts will also be given out.
To shake things up, there will also be a road tour promotion, joined by Malaysia’s own Beatles impersonators. They will be making their rounds at shopping malls and retail outlets around the country.
