Green Arrow, another familiar DC Comics hero, will be making an appearace on Smallville in its upcoming sixth season.

The Emerald Archer's alter-ego, Oliver Queen, is an incredibly talented bowman who is keen to assemble a group of "extraordinarily gifted individuals" to act as society's protectors.

Yep, this will be the basis for the formation of the Justice League, and Queen will reportedly stick around for several episodes of the show.

According to Dark Horizons, Justin Hartley, who was cast in the pilot for the proposed Aquaman TV series, will be cast as Oliver Queen.

Previous DC heroes who have appeared on Smallville include a young Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg (of the Teen Titans). No Bruce Wayne or Diana Prince yet? Get with it, guys!
