ABC's new take on 1980s' hit miniseries V got off to a great start with the series premiere drawing 14.3 million viewers, the second highest of any new series so far this season.

(Gee, that would probably be ... CBS' NCIS Los Angeles, we figure.)

V also delivered the best numbers in adults 18-49, an age group demographic coveted by advertisers, of any new series this season.

The new V stars a veritable Sci Fi TV Who's Who: Morena Baccarin (Firefly), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Joel Gretsch (Taken, The 4400) and Laura Vandervoort (Smallville), along with Scott Wolf and Morris Chestnut.
